Is it a good idea to trust the rental ads on craigslist? i heard most of those are fraud and scam. Its very difficult for me finding house to stay in Canada coz I've no one there. How people manage to find accommodations? Any suggestions?
depending where u r going u can use local kjiji.com yes adv can be scam so u dont pay them unless u go to the apartment and check it out . may be find a rental office. u can do this once ur in canada . Also once ur in canada u can walk around ur college and find apartments for rent signs posted and ask there. Once in canada and u make friends they may know too.ray_lev said:Is it a good idea to trust the rental ads on craigslist? i heard most of those are fraud and scam. Thanks mead for reply. I've found some commercial apartment renting company. "www . columbiaproperty . ca" is this legit? Can I trust them?mead said:depending where u r going u can use local kjiji.com yes adv can be scam so u dont pay them unless u go to the apartment and check it out . may be find a rental office. u can do this once ur in canada . Do u know someone who has a house/apt for rent in Vancouver? tnxashunandal said:yes most of them are fraud on craigslist, they will right you very long and touchy emails but dont pay any money in advance and they ask for western union transfer. kijiji is much best or try to contact your university/student union/fb groups, you will find someone there from your country or community.
