Hey everything, this website is really amazing, however I couldn't find a 100% logical answer to my question below, so I thought I would post and hopefully get my questioned solved.
My common-law partner and I are about to submit a Application for Permanent Residence From Within Canada – Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class (IMM 5289)
On Forum IMM008ENU_2D, question 10, it asks what Current Country of Residence, "Canada" however the "STATUS" I am unsure of since she came into Canada under a visitor visa, then we just applied for an extension while her visitor status was still valid and currently she falls under Implied Status until we hear back from CIC.
However we would like to submit the Application for Permanent Residence From Within Canada – Spouse or Common-Law Partner in Canada Class (IMM 5289) before we hear back from CIC regarding her Visitor status being extended.
I guess my question is, can we still do that to save time? And would we put down her Status as Visitor still with the FROM and TO being the dates the visitor visa was issued and expired (even though the TO) is now expired?
Or do I put Status "Other" with Other being "Implied Visitor Status with the from "being the following date her visitor visa expired along with the TO being the date of this document being submitted / filled out?
Many Thanks in Advance!
