How to extend visa after defering from sep 2022 intake to may 2023 intake

Is it important to be in canada to apply for Visa extension ?

It will take only a month if you file the application inside Canada with very less or no chances of rejection. However, you will have to file a new SP in order to extend your Visa, as far I know.
