How to extend study permit as a part time student!

Hello!
My question is how do I extend my study permit as a part time student. I have a valid reason that I didn’t get two courses in last summer, So in order to graduate I need to complete these two courses. And I have heard from many that you can’t apply for extension if you’re part time student.

I have not heard anything about extensions being refused for part-time students. Below is an excerpt from IRCC (CIC):

Full-time versus part-time studies
The definition of full-time or part-time varies depending on the educational institution. A study permit may be issued whether or not the student’s studies are on a full-time or part-time basis (i.e., the condition that study permit holders must actively pursue studies does not require them to be enrolled on a full-time basis), as long as they are enrolled at a designated learning institution. However, the student must have a full-time status in order to work on or off campus.

I need to extend but i am not enrolled in current semester.but I got extension letter from college.
