Got it. I believe all your guidance has helped me take a call. Its unfortunate that I will not be able to spend much time with family but something is better than nothing. So i have rescheduled my flight to 12 days earlier which means that i land back in CA on 30th May. I didnt want to take a chance with immigration for now and complicate things beyond what is now. If i stay in CA now for another 12 months until 7th Apr 2023, this mean i will have stayed in CA for 731 days ! Another year of not being with family is hard.

So to all of you for having provided your guidance - thank you. I decided not to take a chance with the number other situations and create a scenario of complexities. I landed back ensuring i was over the 730 days threshold and there was no issue or questions with the immigration. The officer did ask me the occasion for my travel and i mentioned the situation. That was it.
