Hey all,
My wife is moving to Canada soon and she's bringing a fair amount of jewelry with her (nothing too crazy—maybe half a small handbag's worth of rings, necklaces, etc.). Most of these were heirlooms left to her by her grandmother.
Given that most of these date back from the 70's - 90's, we have no idea what their value is. We do know that these pieces hold a fair amount of value though. We just have no idea how much.
How does declaring jewelry with the CBSA work? Has anyone ever been in a similar scenario where they didn't know how much the jewelry they migrated with was worth?
Thanks!
