Hi everyone,

I started my skilled work experience initially in a part-time position in October 2013, then promoted to full-time in December 2013. From this date, I worked full-time until August 2016 except for 2 trips I took to my home country, between July 2014-October 2014, and between March 2015-April 2015.

In my EE profile I was awarded with 2 years of experience. Can I go ahead with 2 years of experience in my post-ITA application? In total, I would have worked for 26 months full-time.

Thanks!

It sounds like you have at least 2 years of experience.

But FYI - although the profile asks only for mm/yyyy, the VO will calculate your experience using exact dates (mm/dd/yyyy) and count weeks. 52 weeks = 1 year, 104 weeks = 2 years. I suggest you calculate your experience this way as well, just to be certain.

I would also suggest listing your part-time and full-time positions separately. Your part-time work will be prorated based on the # of hours you worked per week, to calculate the full-time equivalent (FTE).

You can count paid vacation time as "employment", however, you cannot count unpaid leave of absences.

Would I also need to have several entries to reflect the time off work? Or would it suffice to only have entries that reflect the part time and full time work?
