hello everyone,

my study permit got refused for this reason only
  • I am not satisfied that you will leave Canada at the end of your stay, as stipulated in subsection 216(1) of the IRPR, based on the purpose of your visit.
how to convince the IRCC officer that I will leave Canada at the end of my stay?
I'm 20 years old, from Egypt.
I have a bank statement that shows 187,000 Canadian dollars.
I have an IELTS certificate
I got an acceptance letter from the University of Manitoba to study computer science and I have an enrollment letter as I am already studying online.
All of my family members are in Egypt (someone told me to attach pics next time I apply)

If you're leaving Canada at the end of your temporary stay, you don't need to convince the VO at all. Your paperwork will show that.

Maybe because your proof of funds is way too high than what is needed? They doubt you'll go home after your studies cos you can practically live there with that amount on hand.

You say your parents and family live in Egypt. Where do you live? Are you with them In Egypt or are you applying from somewhere else?

You could include your pets too. Maybe some land title, vehicle, businesses? Employment prospects in your country too for after you finish your program. It would be better if you mention a specific role in a company.

Hope this helps!

The problem here is that the visa officer determines that you will not comply with immigration regulations, therefore he cannot issue you a study permit.

@jweekend is right. Your paper work should convince VO that you will leave Canada after studies. What home ties did you mention in your documents?

Is this the only reason they mentioned in refusal letter. There must b 2 or 3 points.

If you only got one reason in your refusal letter, definitely request your GCMS notes to figure out exactly what it was. It suggests there is something rather specific you need to change to be successful on a second attempt.

Have you ordered GCMS notes? It will give more details about what the VO thought about your profile
