How to claim 50 points for Job Offer by ICT individuals

Hi,

I have been working in Toronto for over a year now and was transferred here through Closed Intra Company Work Permit.
I have created an express entry profile. Now, can I claim 50 points for arranged employment? If so, what documents should be provided?

My HR department and Manager may be reluctant to provide a fresh job offer or a letter stating offer for at least a year from the date of getting PR.
However, my closed work permit has my employer's name. I have a transfer letter when I relocated here. My HR and Manager may verify my employment on a company letter-head stating that I will continue to work for the company (just not ready to provide a written time frame).

Will this suffice? If anyone has already claimed 50 points with ICT and the relevent documentation has been accepted by CIC, it will be of great help if the format/necessary details are shared. Thank you.

If you cannot get a written offer of future employment for at least one year from the date of becoming a PR, you do not have a "valid offer of employment" and do not meet the requirements for "arranged employment."

Just curious... what if a company agrees to keep the individual for one year and then after PR, lets him go?
Is there any condition imposed that the PR will be cancelled if something like above happens?

This would be subject to the labour laws in the province. Generally, employers can let anyone go.

Is there any condition imposed that the PR will be cancelled if something like above happens?

The only situation I can think of that would jeopardize PR is clear evidence of fraud (and someone reporting the fraud).

I don't think it is realistic for any employer to provide a future dated offer saying once the person gets PR then from that day onwards we will offer him a job. doesn't make sense to me, as we are not sure on the PR processing time, I guess it someone has a WP with the same employer for another year or so, that should suffice this requirement.

"Arranged employment" has existed for years and many people have obtained PR this way. The only recent change is that the required wording is no longer for "permanent employment" but only one year (to accommodate contract workers).

Employers can also apply for an LMIA for PR purposes, it's pretty much the same thing.


I guess it someone has a WP with the same employer for another year or so, that should suffice this requirement.

As posted in the IRCC website, IRCC specifically states that a work permit does NOT suffice.

Did any one under ICT submitted their application to claim 50 points and got approval? Please let me know as I am also on the same boat.....
