You can call to CIC and ask the update. I dont see anything from mycic although I sent the amendment form on July and I am waiting the mail. I called to CIC for many times. The answer is always same that wait more to get a mail! I think, people will know their status by mail.abdisarockstar said:

Thanks so much for replying. I got an email today and they say they have sent my documents and should reach within 6 weeks(hopefully less).
No problem. It shouldn’t take that long, fingers crossed. However keep in mind the Canada Post strike.
