How to change name in GIC aaplication?

I need some help in correcting my name in GIC application. I don’t have any surname and the problem with my application is that i have inserted a hyphen in my first name. It should be Gurpreet Singh but in order to overcome the space error i mentioned it as Gurpreet-Singh. I am afraid that it might create problem in my further gic application procedure while transferring the funds or may get my application rejected. So please help me with a solution to this.

yes, I got my GIC certificate from scotia bank. For the problem related with my name mentioned with a hyphen is actually valid and correct. As mentioned earlier, my first name is Gurpreet Singh and space character is not allowed when you are signing up for scotia bank application. So to overcome this error just simply put a hyphen between the names. This will work completely fine. I got it confirmed from scotia bank as well. The only thing you need to keep in mind is that your details on GIC application should be exactly similar to that mentioned in your passport.
