I just need some guidance that how I will calculate my physical appearance in Canada before I proceed with citizenship application in August 2023?

Scenario:

As I got my first PR card in Feb 2016 while inside Canada, and then stay here for another 08 months and then left Canada.

I came back to Canada 6 months before the expiry of my fisrt PR card ie: August 2020

Afterward I stay here in Canada and my time of 1095 going in complete in august 2023.

I have two questions:

Q1: They took almost two months to issue me the 2nd PR card after expiry of Ist PR card, while I am in Canada so those two months are also including toward my physical appearance or not? Because I have no status during that period as I applied for renewal of PR card.

Q2: How I do this calculation using online calculator as they start calculating from the date of landing ie Feb 2016 and only consider last 05 years before signing the application.

Your comments are highly appreciated. Thanks

1. You statement that you had no status is incorrect. You were a PR. Expiration of PR card does not mean you loose your PR status. Refer:
https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/new-immigrants/pr-card/understand-pr-status.html

As long as your were in Canada, your physical presence is counted.

2. The application looks to count 5 years prior to the day you are signing the application. It will ask you your landing date but only counts for last 5 years.

PR card expiry date does not have an effect. Your PR date will be the date you landed for the first time as a PR
Take a look at the screenshots..
(In your case "Canadian Temporary Status" should be selected as No because you only landed as a PR)
