What's your wife's status in Canada? Is she a citizen or PR?

That is also my case, my husband is a canadian citizen and the only one who is working in the family and I am still a PR. We are planning to invite my mom here but I'm afraid she might be denied, coz we didn't meet the requirements in LICO. But still we will apply for a single entry for her and depend on the reason of our invitation that we didn't see her for 5 years and my mom have not seen my youngest son since birth. It's the visa officer who will decide for consideration and we are hoping that she will be granted a visa. For now, I registered my mom an account in cic and will submit the application on line once we completed the documents....

You wouldn't know until she apply.

BTW, you don't need meet LICO if she is applying regular visitor visa.

Agreed. If you don't meet LICO, stay away from the super visa and apply for a regular tourist visa (TRV).

If your husband's income is sufficient to meet LICO (low income cut off) then you can apply for a super visa for your mother. If not, then she should apply for a regular visit visa.

Don't know what to do??? First tell us, do you meet LICO for 4 people? If not, go for the regular visa. Just download the forms from the website, fill out the forms, submit the application with supporting document to the VO, pay the fees and wait for the result. It's that simple.
