Hi,

I want to Apply for Canada Tourist Visa and want to know if we can apply from the Washington DC office as I stay close by. I have seen in other threads mentioning about TRV, is this different from a tourist visa? How much time does it usually take for processing if we apply it online. Also, I am on H1-B VISA, if I change the employer after getting a tourist visa, will I need to appear for a VISA interview again if I go out of US to Canada. I am hoping that will not be the case but I wanted to cross-check on that. Can you please let me know.

Thanks,
Aakanksha

Unless you are a diplomat or special passport holder.... only two offices manage TRVs in the US: Los Angeles and New York.

There is no such thing as "tourist visa", this name is an informal way to refer to Temporary Resident Visa (TRV)

Once you have the Canadian TRV your employment situation has no effect on it.
