I dont know about the ground for refusal but a friend of mine had a relative in the US and when she was interviewed she told them about her relative. Just make sure to bring a proof of funds for your intended visit to the US.

Hi There!
I hope someone can enlighten and help me here. Im currently in a work permit (caregiving program) here in Canada and I’ve got an upcoming booked flight in December this year. I’ve got a layover 4 hours stop in US ( Chicago Airport).
Do I need to apply for Tourist Visa B1/B2 or just for Transit C-1 visa?
I’ve been working with my current employer for almost 8 months now.
Will there be any issue with my employment tenureship?
