I don't agree with you, since I know people, whose process has been lasting over 7 months. They are afraid to write about it in the forum because they are afraid to voice out there issues, since they may have to deal with immigration service payback. They continue to live in fear. Please see aso Helen8868's letter above.
There are people in form, who state that their process was complete in 1 month. I think it is a way government advertises the program. But reality is that there are more people whose process lasted more than 6 months.
I am forced to respond to this based on the simple fact that there are some misconceptions about the working of the CIC now IRCC processing time.
In another vein, I did discovered that people don't really read much of the previous post and apply it to their current immigration application/situation.
I will be making my submission based on the fact that I applied twice, now I got it nevertheless that others have an ideal what could add up to prolong processing time in their application.
Now, my processing time spanned 8 months in total. Why? am married and CIC would have to do background check on me and my wife. Secondly, I and my wife lived separately for 5years but legally married. So this are hints that could cause delay.
I applied 2nd time in September 2015, became permanent resident 3/feb/2016 while wife and kids just got their PR confirmation and visa last week. For the breakdown of my timeline please read all my previous post.
Hope this helps?
