can anybody help me advise me about GIC. How to acquire this contract? I have mailed many times times to scotia bank but no such reply saying "processing delays."
What is the initial step to acquire GIC? I got the required docs already but don't know how to proceed with Scotia Bank.

Try this :

http://www.scotiabank.com/startright/common/pdf/SSGP_FAQ_FINAL.pdf

U have to send scanned signed application, passport copy and offer letter as ONE PDF FILE to newaccount @ scotia bank . com with APPROPRIATE DEITALS IN SUBJECT LINE.

MAKE SURE EVERYTHING IS ACCURATE. For other queries, u may write to studentgic @scotiabank .com

HERE'S SOME INFO FROM SCOTIABANK FAQ:::: STEP 5 AND 6

Scan all documents in ONE SINGLE PDF File, in the following order:I.Signed copy of the Scotiabank Student GIC Program Application Form. II.Copy of passport pages (photograph page and the last page with signature)III.Copy of acceptance letter from a Canadian educational institutionAll copies MUST be signed by the student Step 6: Email the SINGLE PDF File to newaccount@scotiabank.com. Please specify “Scotiabank Student GIC Program” in the subject line of your email. The email should contain only ONE PDF which should include all the abovenoted documents; otherwise the application will not be processed.

Hi every one

I am totally new to this forum and need some senior members to help me.
I will be making my GIC payment for 10100 $ tomorrow but i have a few doubts :

1) is it necessary to make the GIC payment from a account that is in my name, i will be actually making the payment from my mothers account.

2) Since the scotia bank saya that they need 10100 $ how much should i wire transfer considering that intermediary banks will debit their processing charges as well.

Kindly help.

Thanks
