How to apply for Canada student visa online from India

Hi all,

I am sorry if this is a duplicate thread, direct me to the link if one is already open for this concern.

Q.1 - I would like to know the procedure of applying online for study permit from India. What all documents are required to be scanned and is there a limit of the size of the document ?
Q.2 - what is the Payment procedure, is it paid online or need to be submitted physically to vfs office or to a bank ?
Q.3. - I was rejected twice for visa and that was paper based application and during that time I linked my paper based applications online, can I use the same account for my online application this time ?
Q.4 - what is the best and fastest way of applying ? Online or paper based ?

Q.1 - I would like to know the procedure of applying online for study permit from India. What all documents are required to be scanned and is there a limit of the size of the document ?

A- thru cic.gc.ca create a profile and can submit, it usually shows what all is needed. below are the docs required.
1. Application (its a form).
2. Letter of acceptance (from coll or uni)
3. Passport. (scanned copy)
4. Proof of finance (all ur family properties Fd's, ITR's, fees paid reciept, bank acs etc etc)
5. Request for medicals (if already done you can attach)
6. Family Info Form ( its a form )
Optional docs
7. Application for temp (form)
8. Letter of explanation - Your strong SOP you will really have to work on it and explain all the issues raised in your previous rejection

Size Limit is 4MB so you will have to really work out by reducing dpi and other settings.

Q.2 - what is the Payment procedure, is it paid online or need to be submitted physically to vfs office or to a bank ?

Payment to be done thru a credit card (visa, Master, Amex)

Q.3. - I was rejected twice for visa and that was paper based application and during that time I linked my paper based applications online, can I use the same account for my online application this time ?

Yes u can, u will just have to create a checklist by clicking on check if you are eligible tab

Do we also need to upload a photograph ? If yes, what is the size limit

Yes sorry missed it in my point..

Photo will be required as per Canada Visa format 80% face and all. you will have to scan the same and upload.

All docs will have a size limit of 4mb each file

In my last 2 visa applications which was paper based, I gave notarized photocopies of my educational and employment documents. So in online application also is it necessary to scan the notarized photocopies or just scan the original copies and upload ?
