I applied for a tourist temporary resident visa about 2 months ago, but there is no answer yet! This situation may last for several months more. On the other hand, I am admitted as a PhD student, and I can now apply for a student visa. But, if I wait for my current visa application, the deadline for student visa application will pass, and I will not have enough time for taking a study permit.
