I initially applied for the January intake and my visa was delayed.
I just received my SP and I can only start my studies on Spring/Summer which is by May.
my question is this, I already booked a flight on Feb 17. And I’ve got a couple people telling me I might not be allowed to enter because it’ll be too early to enter for May intake on February.

please what at your thoughts?

Totally depends on the CBSA officer but yeah, 75 days is way too much i guess. They will probably question you the reasons.

upto 4 weeks before class start date. any earlier you will be turned back for sure
Not always. I saw some students entering 45 days before their classes. Depends on the officer.

It will be up to the CBSA officer. You might have a problem or you might not.

On an average a month before start date is suggested.

You will have to show that you have the additional savings to support yourself without working. If you had been able to start studying during the winter classes should have started in January so the February flight still doesn’t make sense.

That is not true. The decision will be made exclusively by the CBSA officer. He may or may not have questions or issues with the arrival date. However, the general recommendation is to arrive 4 weeks before the start of the studies at the earliest.

My brother got approval after deferring to sept 2023 intake.
When can he enter Canada the earliest?

1 month before is ideal and not sooner.
