Hi all,

I have been working at the same company for 3+ years. My starting job title is Software Development Engineer in Test, after 2+ years it changed to Software Engineer. The company, the responsibilities, NOC are the same. My job offer letter states the former title, but my employment reference letter provided by my employer only state the latest last title.

How should I enter my Work History into EE?

Should I enter 1 entry with the job title A/B?

Should I enter 2 entries, one with job title A, one with B?

I really don't want to cause confusion to CIC :-[

Thanks,

Just the latest title as that's on your reference letter and the NOC remained unchanged. CIC won't be confused if your reference letter mentions your current job title, roles & responsibilities and that you're working in the same place for 3+ years.

Thanks Asivad, so I don't have to show my offer letter?

Also, the employment verification template has the salary, job title, company name, but it doesn't say if the work is full-time or not, just 'average work hours per week: 40'. Will that be enough for me, as this is for work experience?

They don't mention job responsibilities though. I plan to have my manager sign an extra form. I have 4 so far..Can I just get one of my managers to sign for it? And which one?
Thanks,

Not calling it full-time explicitly is fine.

Getting job responsibilities mentioned in the letter is the most critical aspect. If it is not there on the official reference letter, getting your manager to sign on a letter stating your roles & responsibilities is a workaround (which may or may not be accepted by CIC at their discretion). You will have to get it notarized and provide all other supporting evidence of employment along with a nicely drafted LOE explaining why your reference letter doesn't have the responsibilities (hence why you had to resort to getting this from your manager instead) and request the officer to consider your file as complete and process it on its merits.

Hello Asivad

I have a quick question. i am working on pgwp. while studying full time in university, i did couple of part time jobs at different places on off campus work permit. i have stated these jobs in my ee profile and mentioned that i was full time student while working these jobs in the work experience section. My question is, do i need to mention these jobs? if an ita will be issued, will cic request job reference letter for these jobs?

Thanks in advance
Aman
