Additionally, those applying inland obviously have to be in Canada for the duration of their application.BeShoo said:Many people (especially those from visa-exempt countries) visit their spouses in Canada for 6 months or even longer while waiting for the outcome of their application for PR.
I have seen posts where applicant received PPR but their ecase status showing Application received/In-Process....mariahvais said:i've heard from people that they are already in canada and their ecas status is still saying "application recieved"

They don't always update to show that it's in process, or sometimes not at least not until it's about done.CMLR said:My Application still says "Received" however we know they have looked at it ...
It's not really "done" until the visa goes in the passport. Sometimes people have been asked for passports months before the case is finished.hhafiz said:I have seen posts where applicant received PPR but their ecase status showing Application received/In-Process....
In other words, you're effectively "in progress" even though it doesn't indicate on e-CAS that've you've gone in progress. So you're closer to the finish line than e-CAS is reporting. And then there's cases like ours where we've been "Decision Made" for five weeks running with no idea when confirmation of permanent residence will arrive (they said in the passport request made at the same time as DM they'll make "best efforts" to send out what we need to land within 60 working days or 3 months) such that it looks like e-CAS reported us being closer to the finish line than we actually were.CMLR said:My Application still says "Received" however we know they have looked at it because they have asked for proof that we are still living together here in Canada, me as a visitor of course, asked for proof of my husband's income. Our consultant says this is the last step towards them making a decision.
