How realistic is it to find a job after graduating a 2 semesters course?

Hi,
I know there's a shortage of welders in Canada and I figured I can do a 2 semesters course (Ontario College Certificate) at Humber (welding-techniques) and then get an open work permit, find a job and have the employer sponsoring me in order to extend my work permit.
Question is how realistic is it? I have 0 experience and education in welding, I was gonna start studying it in my home country in order to gain experience and immigrate later but I figured maybe I can speed things up.
What do you think?

1. Not much of a change, your 8 month course in welding with no experience, and not having any other experience and in most provinces, you can't be an apprentice without being a PR or citizen,

Not entirely impossible.

Find a list of employers and job ads on Job Bank site before even attending that college.
Ask them if they would be interested in hiring you after completion of the program.

I say, find at least 100 employers in Ontario or even in other provinces.
Finish the 9 month program and run to the guys who said yes to you. File LMIA and Work Permit immediately.

If you don't do this, your 8 month work permit time will end up and you'll become an illegal immigrant. CIC will deport you as soon as possible.

Perhaps you won't find a job in the big cities right away, because there are enough people with more experience. I think, finding a spot in a remote place might be a good chance.

I have another option, I can actually get qualified in my country for free and start gaining experience here, I thought about this and maybe I should stay here until next September (1.5 years) to get certificated and start gaining experience and then if I can't find an employer in Canada that'll sponsor me I can go to Humber for a year, get the post graduate work permit and then finding an employer that'll sponsor me.
Do you think it's a better plan? Is it more realistic?
There's also a 2 years diploma in welding offered in SAIT (calgary) and NSCC (Halifax) but it's very expensive.

Follow what I said. I found several employers in only 1 month while staying in Toronto.

The key is asking everybody who posted ads on job bank, kijiji, craigslist, monster.

Send out few hundreds of emails and make sure they can hire you right after graduation... start searching employer like 4 months ahead of graduation and arrange everything from LMIA, Work Permit, CELPIP score, etc...
