Hello guys, My employer is able to file LMIA for me now. What are required for advertisement? He has advertised on Job Bank, Workopolis for a month. Would that be enough? or does he have to put an additional ad on a public newspaper? Thanks!

This is something I can't understand. A lot of Canadian universities were influenced by American universities... Canadian universities have similar admin rules, classes, majors, etc. They developed together but they don't recognize USA education automatically when you try to move to Canada...

One person I talked to was an employer herself. She said she wants $25,000 for filing LMIA. I wonder how many immigrants are working at her factory. She said she has 300 employees. But good for you man...

Not really. I don't believe it works as designed. If they don't want foreigners to get a job, they should just block it or make different procedures. They shouldn't even give a chance or make it look like possible so people can have better life plans. They should make it appear impossible...

I will do that. They were also seeking $2500 for issuing an acceptance letter from an obscure college to get study permit. I don't think this is legal either... I think the majority of immigration lawyers in Toronto are in this way. I met a few people but they have pretty much similar...

People on this thread talk as if that's perfectly normal... Those fake immigration lawyers should be banned forever from society if they're making living from that. If they were doing that in USA, they would have been arrested already. CIC should cancel their PR if they find out about it...

Just apply for new degree evaluation. Call them. They have agents available from 9 AM to 2 PM.
