Hello Everyone,
I am worried about something that has to do with the minimum duration of physical stay in Canada before being eligible to apply for citizenship.
Here is my situation:
I came to Canada in October of last year, 2015, as a new PR. So, I have been looking forward to physically passing the 3-year period here before I can apply for citizenship. But, the challenge is that, the company I work for in Canada is originally European and recently they have sent me to their office in Europe to work for 30 days before returning to Canada. I am in Europe for a month now on a short assignment.
My question is: Will this 30-day period be considered toward calculating the total number of days I will have resided in Canada before submitting my citizenship application?
Thanks.
