hey guys, Im ready to pay for my application and I am a bit confused. I am paying online and the options are to pay $75 for a sponsorship application and then there is an option that says $475 for principal applicant. I am a canadian and my wife and I are applying to bring her to Canada. If anyone can tell me how much I need to pay it would be a great help. Thanks a lot

There's three fees:
$75 sponsorship fee covers the review CPC-M will do of your application to sponsor
$475 is the fee you pay for the visa office to evaluate the applicant's application (i.e., your wife's application)
$490 right of permanent resident fee which covers landing, PR card, settlement services, etc.

While you can pay the RPRF later on in the process (before the visa is issued), if you pay it upfront it's one less thing to worry about sending to the visa office.

Ok so I am getting mixed info. Is it $75 + $475 or is it $75 + $475 + $490?

no its only 75 and 475 the 490 is landing fee but you can pay that when they call yo in for landing interview the 490 that is

it is better to pay all money up front as this can delay processing paying the land fee later.......sometimes by a couple of months so if at all possible pay the full $1040.00 :)

There WILL be a delay when you pay because they will have to match it to your application, then process it. Could take 4-6 weeks or months. It's best to pay it all upfront to avoid delays :)

parker24 is right....there is definitely in delay in the process if you don't pay up front....but if you don't have the money then you don't....just be aware that there is a delay
