Hi, can anyone inform me plz within how many days chc,London sends the refusal letter if application is not approved due to the insufficient points?

I sent my application 2 weeks ago.

cheers.

Does CIO actually check for points? if you get rejected by CIO, please can you come back and let us know.

Yeah Rupeshari the Visa office does calculate points. After they have done the screening for the linistrial list, and your are eligible for processing at the visa office, they then do background checks, security checks and calculate points against the documents that you have sent.

Visa officer then scrutinized all the education certificates, work experience and then allots points accordingly. They are some instances where ppl didn't send in their high school grades and were awarded less points for not completing 14 years of education, they got half points for providing just the Degree.

But all in all, i think that it is the overall profile of the case that counts.

I have managed to make 64 points. There are shortage of 3 points due to the IELTS.I guess CHC will refuse my application. And that is why I asked how long CHC will take to send the refusal letter?

They do not start the verification of the documents until someone's application is approved at the initial stage which includes fulfil the passmark, pass the interview and so forth.

Regards.

Hi Rani,

Why dont you do the IELTS again to get more points and try to submit before they reject it.

No, I mean CIO in Sydney, NS not CHC (visa office). I guess the OP is speaking about CHC and not CIO. Anyway, does CIO check for points?

No the CIO does not check for points, they only screen for the ministrial instructions, fees, and make sure that the application is filled properly.

They can't calculate points because they don't have any supporting documents, like IELTS how would you know the scores without the actual IELTS Documents, etc. I mean they can't assume that everyone gets 16 points..
