I'm stuck in IP1 since Jan 23, 2018. I think the application gets stuck in IP1 if you don't provide all the PCC upfront. Not sure how much time it takes for it to get un-stuck. I am guessing that my application has been sent to the back of the queue and they will come back to my application after the 60 day PCC extension is

Not having provided all the pcc upfront might be a reason. But there are lots of cases like mine that all the required pcc are provided and still ip1 seems longer than others. I think there are other reasons and definitely we are getting obssessive on all these stages and terms.

I was in IP1 untill I recieved PPR. Sometimes the stauts ramins idle for long time,, but the actual processing kept on moving in the back.

Hi guys,

My AOR is 21st June, I passed medicals on 17th July. On the same day, my background status changed to 'Your application is in progress. We will send you a message when we start your background check' which I understand is IP1.

I was requested for a PCC from Singapore , and was given 2 months till 17th September to upload. I got the PCC ahead of time and uploaded it on 8th September itself.

What I've heard is IP1 to NA2 takes just a few hours or maximum a day, so I am worried now that my status is still the same since the 8th of September. When I go on to ECAS also, my case cannot be found.

Would they be waiting for the deadline of 17th September to start processing the application again?
Is there any update for u till date ? Please share your experience

What harman2725 is saying is true...These days I noticed so many cases where the status didn’t change at all, but the application was approved and directly went from IP1 to PPR..

IP1 and IP2 have never provided the correct updates about the files. Its better not to depend on these status messages.

I have provided my PCC along with AOR, but still my application is stucked in IP1 state and not moving to NA2

You are too worried about the whole IP1 NA IP2 garbage, those are only guidelines and not all applications follow that scenario.

My file for example never went pass IP1.

Did you receive the PPR email while you were on IP1 ? It's been 4 weeks since I am on IP1 and since there has not been any change in the status ? Could you please advise if this could be the case that Visa officer hasn't updated the status ?

Hey mate, yes my status changed on 6th Dec to Ip2. My AOR is 4th Sept. It took over 65 days or so for my status to change. I have been following the trend on immi tracker and can clearly see that it takes time for status to change. Hope it clears your doubts.

Thanks mate. Are you from biometrics country? As i was in ip2 for the first 60 days after my AOR, and from last 50 days, i am reverted back to ip1 and stuck there, dont know when i will move back to ip2

Hey mate. I am from India. Well to be honest there is nothing like Ip1 or Ip2. The so called last stage or Ip2 is when your background check is in progress.
