How much time new delhi CHC takes to return the passport?

Dear Seniors,
Seeking help for the problem i m facing right now.

I submited the final documenst on 16-Jan-2010 to CHC New delhi
they changed the status to "Review completed Your file is being processed on 16- feb 2010"
Medical request received and passport submission request received: 25-feb-2010
Medical i am going to be done tomrrow i.e. 24-Mar-2010.

Now I will be mailing my passport and medical receipt (not the medical test result) on 25-Mar-2010.

Can any body guide me in how much time do CHC delhi return back your passport to home address in india -Gujarat?

I am planning to travel out side india on 15-May-2010 to singapore.?
Will it be ok to pay the amount for singapore tour?
Any suggestion from teh poeple who got the passport back around this time?

Normally it will take 1- 1.5 months. but there are cases pointed out in this forums, in which it was delayed. If you are ready to take a risk.... but to be on the safe side, better to postpone the tour. If you think that immigration is not so important, you can postpone the medicals/ submission.

hi there buddy.. i would suggest u cancel your Singapore trip. You cant be sure of how long it takes for the passport to return. Some get it very early, some get it very late. Take my example, I did my meds on December 22, 2009, still awaiting for my Visa. Its been more than 3 months now. Usually, the average processing time is 45 days, but this is just my opinion.

Hi,

As per my knowledge from the discussion reviews, it may take up to 6 weeks to get your passport back from Delhi. Perhaps you can get it earlier but all depends on the situation based on postal delays/holidays coming in between. If you plan for a travel, ensure you can re-book your ticket in case any delays happened.
