Hello Everyone,

I submitted my passport at VFS Delhi on April 02, 2018. When can I expect my passport back?

Also, does CIC/IRCC/ VFS communicate via e-mail that passport has been processed?

Thanks and Regards.

You can check from VFS website using "track your application", to know the status of your passport.
Timeline varies from 1 week to 3 week.

From what i observed, applicants from VFS Delhi, gets their Visa stamped within a week.

Thanks for reverting, I've been checking VFS website, it still says "passport is being processed". Just thought someone on this forum might help me out with tentative processing timeline.

And from the far-flung provinces take 4-5 weeks

VFS Kolkata: 12-Mar to 04-Apr + 5 days delivery to another remote province, thanks to Bluedart

Fingers crossed.

How does the VO intimate that passport has been processed? Will I receive an e-mail?

I did not opt for passport delivery, will pick-up my passport in person.

VFS will send an email or SMS, or keep checking the VFS tracking :D

They have to intimate through email or message.

In my case, i didn't received any mail post stamping nor I received any message. I only get to know through "Track your application".
I called the customer representative and raised the complaint about not receiving updates .

After-which they sent an email today that my passport is ready for collection which I knew already.

My advice is to keep yourself updated through website.

My passport was received by the Visa Office on April 03, 2018 (I got to know about the same using VFS online tracker). However, I received an email and SMS from VFS only on April 10, 2018.

I am relying on the VFS online tracker for updates. It's 10 days since I handed over my passport to VFS, New Delhi. I hope I get it soon.

My husband also complained to the call centre of not receiving a single SMS when he had subscribed to the service. Poor 49 INR just went to the drain

Whereas here in SG, I complained of flooding my phone with 18 SMS and 16 emails :p:D

It seems, not only NDVO but also VFS-India is pathetic in terms of customer experience.

You should start appreciate services in your country :D

Hello everyone,

Just checked my VFS tracker and CIC account. Passport stamped :), will pick up tomorrow from VFS New Delhi office.

Thank you everyone for your inputs and addressing my queries.

I submitted by passport in VFS Hyderabad on March 15. Received a confirmation that it has been received by NVDO on March 17. Since then the tracking status still shows the same update that "it is being processed in New Delhi". I have a travel coming up on Apr 19th and really worried now.
I have sent multiple emails to the Delhi Immigration and also submitted an urgent request letter to VFS Hyderabad last week. Still no updates?

Anybody here who have submitted in March and still awaiting for updates? This is really crazy. Pathetic turnaround time.
