How Much Time It Takes From Passport to Visa Stamped via VFS

Since August 8th?? Oh My.. I submitted mine on August 24th it arrived at vfs on the 28th and dispatched to the High Commission on August 29th... I am hoping to get it within a month, but seeing your timeline it scares me and I have my flight booked for October 19th...
is yours a PR visa?

Yes spousal pr outside Canada. Mostly people are getting their passports back in 15 to 20 days. Mine is exception.

Mine is spousal pr outland as well.. oh gosh but why is yours exception? Do you mind telling me? I just want to make sure i am not going to wait that long....and have you heard some people getting their passports in 15-20 days lately?

Yes from this forum I see many getting their passports within 2-3 weeks, I don't know why they are not dispatching my passport, copr has been got generated 3 weeks ago.

Usually it takes 15 working days (Mon to Fri). Even if you add additional time for dispatching you should be fine.

This is surprising! I emailed high commision re my PP submission and they replied next day with suffecient information.

I raised query through webform-New Delhi and they replied. Please make sure to include your UCI, File number or any letter from them. Also, include the consent form if you are not the principal applicant.

Quick update - I have received message that they have dispatched my package from New Delhi.

PP submitted on August 28 and dispatched on September 15.

Yes. I'm a Canadian citizen for many years. This application was for my wife

Yes received the passport. Don't worry 20 days are normal for processing visa. Follow up with IRCC if you like. Below is my timeline after submitting passport:

- Passport submitted to VFS on August 28
- IRCC received on August 31
- IRCC dispatched passport on September 15
- Received with stamp and COPR on September 16
