How much time it takes for background check!?

My application is showing it got updated on 19th april. And background check is in progress. Eligibility shown not started. What does that mean and can someone help me understand how much much its gonna take to complete background check!?

No one knows. It's random based on each individual. Just wait until you hear your updates.

It took 8 months for my background checks to complete. I’ve seen ppl getting their background completed in 2 months, others over a year. I guess it all comes down to the “security” part of the background checks which is done by csis (record check vs. in depth check)
