How much time does it take to get Indian PCC from BLS Canada - 2023

Posting timeline - if someone else is looking for that.

19th June 2023 -Applied in Person @Bls Brampton

22 June 2023 - Status on Passport Seva Portal -PCC application along with fee details have been received. The same is under processing at the Embassy/Consulate.


26 June 2023 -
Status on Passport Seva Portal - PCC application is under review at Indian Embassy/Consulate. CAT number generated
No email received.

27 June 2023
Police Verification has been initiated and a request has been sent to Indian Embassy/Consulate. PCC needs to be collected from the Indian Embassy/Consulate where the applicant applied after a 'Clear' Police Verification Report is received at the Indian Embassy/Consulate.

28th June

Local police verification is already done on the 1 July but status on the passport portal is still the same - "Police Verification has been initiated and a request has been sent to Indian EmbassyConsulate. PCC needs to be collected from the Indian Embassy Consulate where the applicant applied after a Clear Police Verification Report is received at the Indian Embassy Consulate "

How much time do thy take to update the status - as per the local police they have already sent it but the on the passport portal the status is the same ?

Is this normal ? Can someone please advise

it seem the local police bounces it b/w diff offices and we need to follow up and request them to complete all thats needed.

. I followed up with local police - thy did it now - i guess something was pending from their end. Its updated now on the portal - " Police Verification Report is clear.PCC is available for issuance. "

Now lets see how much time thy take to send it to me

1 July 2023 - Verification done as local police station - thy asked for my aadhar card and photo

10 - July 2023- Status updated - PCC is clear - had to follow up with local police - it seems they had not sent it

12 July 2023 - Status - Updated to - PCC is available for issuance

15 July 2023 - Status updated to - PCC printed on PASSPORT INDIA portal

18 July 2023 - Got a text saying mail coming via purolator - status on BLS Website updated with tracking details - Status on PASSPORT INDIA is still the same - PCC printed

I need to get Indian PCC done from BLS Canada. Any idea how much time does is it taking for complete pcc process. Anyone who got it done in recent past- can you please answer this?

Hi All,

Last week I got my PCC from my home country. The last date is mentioned as April 24th 2020 but I actually left the country on April 25th 2020. My flight got delayed and I left my country around 8.00am on April 25th 2020. Will that be a problem for my PR application?

Should I apply for a new PCC with the date April 25th 2020 as it was stamped on my passport when departing the country?

Can someone please advise?
