Hi,

Need to know and see

How much score you had when you got an invite to apply for PR??

Need to know from people who are already in Canada and on lmia work permit.

Thanks

Cic make announcements roughly every two weeks with a score. Anyone with that score or above gets an invite. The last draw was 4th January and the score was 468. The lowest score drop was 450.

I got an invite once at 459 which I rejected and another at 454 which I accepted

Oh so you can reject as well, Wondering why would you reject?

Needed an FBI clearance certificate which took about 3-4 months to arrive and I had 60 days to submit all the documents after accepting so decided to wait for another ITA rather than the application being rejected.

This page gets updated faster in a tabular form and minimal important information

can you now get an FBI certificare pre applying time of 60 days which is not 90 days so that you are already prepared?

You can apply for PCC anytime but it should be valid at the time of application. most countries have a validity of 6 months. my wife and I have PCC issued in November 2016 thinking it could take upto 60 days. we got the PCCs in 2 weeks. Hopefully, we will get the ITA and eAPR before the PCC expires

It is tricky getting the documents ready before you receive at ITA as you don't know when you'll get invited and the documents may be out of date by then

The only documents that will be out of date are PCCs for your current country of residence, proof of funds letter and your current job reference letter. Everything else can be gathered before. It's also worth spending time just listing where you have been for the past few years to make form filling easier.

I know but in many countries including mine, you never know how much time it takes for the PCC to arrive. I declined an ITA since i did not have a FBI PCC

I took the chance of getting PCC even before entering the pool as you can't predict how long it would take. I was refused the CSQ under Quebec Skilled Worker Program in 2014 as I did not submit my documents on time. I can always get a new PCC done now that I know how to get it.

For the country you stay in, you can get that fast and if the procedure is long, you will start with requesting form to upload first with explanation that you are waiting for it (USA Federal)

For other countries your PCC is valid as long as it was issued after you have lived in that country.
Having months and months waiting time, you can collect everything except latest bank statement and PPC from the country of your current residence. And again even later you have more time to finish it and also to proove that you have started the request early enough and that you made lot of effort to get PCC from certain country but it is not for objective reason possible (no cooperation or rejection to issue such certificate).
