I am filling my forms and want to ensure I dont leave out any fields blank. How much of "N/A" should I write in questions that do not apply? I notice some fields get greyed out depending on previous selection which makes it impossible to type "N/A", in that case, should I write "N/A" by hand after printing the filled form? Just asking because the guide states not to leave anything blank.

Share your experiences.. especially from applicants whose applications were successfully accepted...

thanks

Just write N/A wherever is needed, in any item that does not apply to you

some question spaces get grayed out (disabled) depending on your previous selection, in those cases, should I pencil in (by hand) N/A in the extra spaces for the questions since I cannot type in N/A?

Give more details. what are these spaces/questions? I filled in my form online and input N/A wherever I needed.

Leave them alone...they are gray for a reason, they are reserved for CIC

Put N/A in the first box of a particular question or question part where the form allows you (e.g. You cannot put N/A on a date field, or on a checkbox, but you can on any other box, such as Apt No, child last name, etc.). Here's what CIC advises on N/A: http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/helpcentre/answer.asp?q=017&t=4
