how much do I need to show for 1 year study??

I am applying for postgraduate diploma program of 1 year duration in Toronto. My program fee is $12000. I would like to know how much liquid cash do I need to show to Canadian embassy inorder to stisfy them.
 
The 12,000 plus 10,000 for living expenses. It all depends on the office responsible for your area, because some visa offices don't ask for the 10,000. When i applied they only ask for tuition.
 
maan86 : If the college is under the SPP program (in India only) then you need to have a minimum of $8,000 + 1 year of tuition fees by way of a loan. .. PLEASE BE AWARE THAT YOU NEED TO TAKE A 2 YEAR PROGRAM (NOT 1 YEAR)IN ORDER TO GET IMMIGRATION UNDER CANADIAN EXPERIENCE CLASS.

im also interested in taking admission in some PG program and mostly the course length is 8months to 1yr..
another thing should i take admission in college or university??
 
Hi Amathen,

Are you sure you need to take a 2 yr course to qualify for the Canadian experience class ? Wouldnt 1 yr course + 1 yr graduate work permit enable you to qualify for that ?
 
Guys .. go to CIC website and read the criteria for graduates .. Canadian Experience Class. Alot of so called education consultants that are sending students in but not telling them of the criteria for immigration... I suspect coz they make commissions only on the 1st year fees.
 
hey guys i have a question thats slightly different..i have already submitted my file on 8th june...my course fees are 11730 $ for 1 year and i am enrolled into 2 years of PG diploma course...i have a loan sanctioned of 8,00,000 RS....but the problem is that i paid my first semester fees of 5865 $ from the loan amount...the bank executive told me that its mandatory to pay the first sem fees from the loan so i had to pay the fees..i have put up the loan disbursement letter of 5865 $ in the file....so the point is that now my loan amout left out is 5,30,000 RS after paying the first sem fees...so do i meet up the financial requirement that spp asks for...and i wanted to submit the bank statement of my fathers saving account but it was clearly stated on the spp cover list that ANY ADDITIONAL DOCUMENT SUBMITTED OTHER THAN THE LISTED ONE UNLESS ASKED BY VISA OFFICER WOULD NOT PROCESS YOUR FILE UNDER SPP PRIORITY....so what do you think about this case...other than above loan topic i have followed all the spp guidlines...and ya still i have not received any response from CHC..i have even submitted my medicals in advance...
