how many years work permit will i get - with proof

Hi,

My University confirms that I was registered initially in January 2010 and expected graduation date is Sept 2012.

Now, I am managing to complete this program in April 2011 hopefully through working very hard e.g. took 18 credits in one semester. I will have completed it in 16 months in April.

My question is will I be granted 2 years work permit or 16 months even though the document I have states expected completion date is Sept 2012. Please state or attach proof of any CIC buletins, docs etc to support your help.

No idea ! Actually I am facing the same predicament :-( I hope somebody knows the answer though.

Same problem here. I hope seniors help us in this regard. I have taken in total 10 courses to complete my masters. how do you calculate the number of credit hours based on the number of courses? I am about to graduate from U of T in December 2011. I started in Sep 2010

I heard if you apply to buffalo they usually give a 3 year PGW permit regardless of the length of the program.

And also i have to renew my TRV as it expires in about 3 months. Do they still provide same day service ?? If not do you know how long do they take? Is it better for me to get a US visa and apply from buffalo office in person. or if i dont get the US visa can i mail them my passport and apply my PGWP from buffalo as i have heard that you get a 3 year Post grad work permit even if your length of program is about a year or so ..
