Thanks for your wishes... Medicals was done on 24th March 2012. It was requested on 27th Feb 2012.

This is how it happened in my case:

Landed in Canada on 24th Aug 2008 as a student.
Completed my studies in Seneca college - Applied for open work permit - Got a job offer - Working in Toronto since May 2009 - Applied for PR Sep 2009 - Rejected in Nov 2009 - Reapplied in Dec 11 2009 explaining and with supporting documents to Sydney, NS

AOR - 30 - March - 2010
File Transfer - April 7 2010
Application sent to Buffalo VO - May 2010

Waiting Waiting Waiting !!!

Did my medicals in advance on 17th Aug 2010. Work permit expired and returned to India on Aug 18 2010.

Got married on 12th Sep. Wife is a Registered Nurse and she already applied for PR in New Delhi visa office and it was under process through a consultant.

Updated both New Delhi and Buffalo files with spousal details, job details, CRNE Credential details.

The Buffalo application was reviewed and started processing on November 30, 2010.

Buffalo office requested for RCMP fingerprint Criminal check.... missed that email..... later came to know that email was miss spelled thr CAPIS noted...... Processed RCMP fingerprint Criminal check from India..... received by visa office on Feb 2011.

Medicals expired on 17th Aug 2011.

Waiting ... waiting ...

Medical requested by VO on 27th Feb 2012..... Medicals request reached us on 21st March 2012 (Buffalo - India)..... Did medicals on 24th March 2012 and the doctor was very kind and sent the report to Buffalo (as requested in the letter) on 27th March and she also called us back and gave the tracking number and mailed the tracking number and receipt of the courier. Medicals reached Ottawa on 29th March and it was sent to Buffalo on 13th April 2012.....

Waiting waiting waiting....

Meanwhile I sent the RPRF fee and also updated the latest PCC from India for my wife and myself.

Passport requested on 03-May-2012....

I cannot sent passport across countries hence I am traveling to Buffalo (have B1-B2 visa for US) on 14th May and will get the visa stamped for me and my wife. Then will sent back my wifes passport through my friend, who is visiting India for vacation and my wife will land in Toronto hopefully by end of this month.....

I was a silent observer of the forum. The forum and CIC website was the only help I had since I started my PR journey in Dec 2010.

Kudos to all the forum members. Thanks a million times for the help extended to me.

I thank God Almighty for being by my side in all difficult times and also through this PR process.

I am not getting satisfied thanking this forum members..... because only I know how much Canadavisa.com has helped me.... I mean the forum members.... I do not want to specify the name of forum members as many posts have helped me in one way or the other. In that case I have to make a big list of names..... Thanks a lot..... thanks a lot.....

All the best for the people who are in queue and our prayers always for u all...

Regards and Wishes and Prayers,

COngrats to everyone who recd pp request, the files are moving pretty quick now from what ive been readin on forums, hopefully everyone will get it soon..

Jst a personal suggestion to ppl who recd pp request : its better to go to buffalo, specially if u live in toronto or anywhere close to buffalo, and get it stamped in person instead of mailing in pp and waiting again - The process is very simple and saves time

Hi sadiq_g,

I like your suggestion of going to buffalo in person rather than mailing the passport for visa stamping, very smart idea...but my question is, I am currently in Alberta Canada under a work permit and awaiting for passport request, now if i wanna go to buffalo in person for visa stamping, do i need a US visa so i can enter and go to Buffalo or it doesn't matter?
Waiting for your reply....
Thank you very much in advance and may God bless you more.....

Got PPR this morning. My e-cas status still "in process" without medical received line. Just asked me to provide 2 photos with my passport.

I got ppr on May 3rd and there is no line addeed saying my medical has been received either.
Moreover, the title on the email for ppr don't match neither my name nor my file number.
So what do you think guys. Should I go ahead and send my pp anyway?

hey guys,

With grace of God I received the PPR Today in email Here is the email, what i received from buffalo

Hi Ram84,

hi nm423
their no update from my side yet hopefully in few days
i m still waiting reply from otttawa side regarding my file transfer
i do not have any idea its is in buffalo or ottawa

Hi guys, this is the first time I post a comment on this forum. I appreciate all the comments/help on this site. I am starting to get worried regarding my process, and would highly appreciate someone's feedback/view on my case. I just want to make sure I'm not the only one there.

My application was received by Buffalo on Feb 14 2011
Medical was requested in Sept 2011 and received by Visa office
"Started processing application" on Feb 24 2012.

I received an email in March 2012, stating that they have finalized initial assessment of my file, and they do not need any additional info, and they do not expect an interview. They also asked for RPRF in case I hadn't already paid (which I paid back in Feb 2011 upon original submission).

That was the last thing.. I have no idea if my application is still in Buffalo or if it was forwarded to another office. Is this delay normal? I am past the 16 months mark.
