Hello everyone

I searched on Google and could not find any applicable information regarding my request. I want to find out after everything is done and, the CIC informs you that you can immigrate to Canada, what is the maximum time allowed that you have available before you must enter their country? Is it one year or 2 years?

Thank you
:)

They would expect you IN on a specific window of time that they would communicate to you upon nomination.
Should you feel that you won't be able to make it for any reason then you should get back to them at the earliest possible and communicate accordingly

CoPR is valid for 6 months, or 1 year after Medical done, whichever comes first

You can also ask for the extension of the validity if medicals.
I just recived an e-mail saying that I will get a result of my application within 4-6 weeks (first info after almost 11 months of waiting). My medicals will expire by end of Dec and for sure I will not be able to travel to Canada this year, as we have some trips already planned. So Inwill ask for the extension. Anyone did try it before?

COPR validity usually is the expiry of your passport or the expiry of the medicals, whichever comes first. There is no six months rule.

Quoting from my "Ready for Visa" (aka PPR) email:

"Your permanent resident visa will expire one year after the date of your medical examinations. If your passport or the passports of your spouse or dependent children (if applicable) expire on an earlier date, the visa will expire on the earlier date."

Correct.
