How many government ID documents do I need to apply for citizenship?

Hello,

I'm so confused... I'm reading the instructions to complete the citizenship application. In "gather your documents" sections, it says in one bullet that I need copy of all my valid passports and the ones I had in 5 years, then in other bullet it asks for a piece of government issued ID and finally a photocopy of personal identification such as a driver licence.

My question is, I do have a valid passport and a driver licence, what is the other document? Besides my PR card I don't have any government issued ID.

Step 3 – Gather your documents
Submit the following documents with your application:
  • photocopies of all valid and expired passports or travel documents you had in the past 5 years. If you don’t have these documents or there are gaps in time between travel documents, we will ask for an explanation.
  • if you had a passport in the past 5 years:
    • photocopies of 1 piece of government issued identification with your name, date of birth and photograph
  • Photocopy of personal identification. Examples of identification you can use include:
    • driver’s license;
    • health insurance card
    • senior citizen’s card
    • age of majority card
      Note: You cannot use your permanent resident card as identification.

Send your passport and your Driver's license, that is passport plus one piece of ID with name, DOB and photograph!
