how many get their file no from isb ....b/c i want to survey ....my application went for five months but can't get any reply....

Same here my friend. I've not received ay kind of acknowledgement from the Canadian authority from Islamabad. It's more than 5 month that the file was transferred from mississauga to islamabad.

According to my Knowledge CIC Islamabad is not issuing any Acknowledgment for Applicant , from since they have introduced UCI for Future Correspondence. In my case i have applied in June 2011 and my file is transferred to Local Office (Islamabad) in August.

after nov 2010 CHC-I is not sending AOR letter if u need file number u have to send email to CHC-I to get the file number after 2 or 3 months.
