Hi, I have recently became Canada PR and stayed in Canada for 4 months. After that, I have got job in another country and has been staying here since then. My question is, how many days I have to spend in canada to continue my PR status so that it doesnt create issue in PR renewal. Ultimately I want to settle in Canada. Thanks.

You have to live in Canada for 2 out of every 5 rolling years.

Thank you for the prompt response. Is there any condition that in this condition only have to live for 2 years or it is ok to live just for 2 years without giving any genuine reason.

I don't understand your question. You must physically live in Canada for 2 out of every 5 years.

You need to be able to demonstrate on each new entry to Canada that you have lived in Canada a minimum for a minimum of 730 days in the 5 years immediately before each new entry. The 730 days is a total and does not have to be a straight 730 days.

Thank you guys. With this, I think I can stay in my present country for one more year than can shift to Canada permanently.
