How many "buffer" days will you have when you send in your citizenship application on Oct 11?

I can understand for sure it’s max damage one can have. Well best of luck! I hope IRCC has some internal mechanism to process application effected by C-24 on expedited basis.
CIC staff is not going to sort through each application and see who was affected by C-24 and give it more priority. That ain't going to happen. That would mean more work. When dealing with union, they want to do the least amount of work for most pay as possible.

I too was affected negatively both coming and going.

My app was received yesterday with 7 days buffer. I could have applied next week with 400+ days buffer, but I would have been date stamped with all the others in the tsunami of apps. Decided to take my chances. I meticulously documented all my trips to the US and elsewhere.

Of course, if people still don’t realize that after over 3 years in Canada , they obviously don’t know Canada well enough ..: that should actually be part of the citizenship test

Hi Guys, I qualified today (1461 days) under old rule.
Should i wait till Oct 11 to get a lot of buffer (approx buffer of 525 days) ?
or should I just go ahead and apply today?
I know there is no right answer but I'd appreciate your opinion

I was on work permit from Aug 2009 to Dec 2011,after that moved back home. In March 2015 landed as PR.....am I eligible under C6?.....thanks in advance
You can only count days 5 yrs back from the day you want to consider. If the date you want to consider is 11th Oct 2017, you can only count days 5 yrs back from that date, which is 12th Oct 2012. You cannot use any days in Canada before that date; therefore, the time you spent in Canada under a work permit between Aug 2009 to Dec 2011 cannot be used for citizenship.
