How long did you wait before you received sponsorship approval? I'm on day 46 and haven't heard yet.

I would call someone on Monday, usually it's only about four weeks

It is called a mail strike that just ended this week, so mail is backed up.

I wish that were the case PMM, even when I phone the call centre (which has been three times now) they are unable to tell me anything, except that my application was received on May 16th.

this immigrations are really slow im waiting almost a year now even it came to my country im really frustrated more than you lol

Fingers crossed you hear something soon. Perhaps Monday... The holiday on Friday won't have helped much and possibly they had to do some checks which involved using the post ??? Seems to be no rhyme nor reason as to why some people are approved quickly and others very slowly... must be frustrating that they can't tell you anything... keep us updated and try to keep positive! (On the plus side, at least you know for certain they have a record of your application...)

MDSB gives a good reply.

Try to remember that the times stated on the CIC website are not exact deadlines.
My advice, you really need try to be more relaxed, if not you will go crazy :)

Many cases get processed within the overall estimated time frame, some parts are slow, others fast.
The only guarantee is that there are no guarantees.
If you think the sponsorship part is a PITA, just wait until you have to deal with London.
Enjoy life as best you can while you wait, you will get an answer eventually.

Most people know the stress, don't let it get to you, the journey is worth it in the end.
