Hello,

I am trying to sponsor my spouse.

I have known her and her family for years and years as family friends. The marriage was a proposed marriage.

What should I answer for the questions like, how long i know her? when did you meet her relatives?

Write down from the time you met each other and what type of relationship you have had from that day up until now. In these cases the more info the better. If possible add dates, locations and pictures ect.

I have also known my husband since i was a teenager,so as the previous poster said write down the year , what you did together as families and who you meet in the family etc etc. Draw a picture tell it like a story . They need to connect with the story .Thats what i done anyway.

taffy7 and nelsonhk thanks a lot.

I will write up as you have advised. I was thinking what should I really put in the application box since it asks for the dates.

it is ok if i put the dates i met her and her family after the proposal and then write up the events as explaining everything

That's what i did . I also said the day is not spot on but the year is ,as i was only 15. I am 50 now so it was a long time again . So i just told them how we met through family and how the contact remained through the years .

So taffy7.

I am going to fill up the dates i met her family after the proposal and write and explain how we knew each other.

No. Put the date you first met her and her family members. Even though that is a long time ago. The year is good enough if you don't know the exact date. Then explain everything in the application.

I have to agree with canadianwomen put the date you first meet her parents and explain later.
