I sent immigration application for my wife and daughter. It says on CIC website that the office will only comfirm the arrival of the application when it is opened?
My question is how long will it be from an application being received to opened? Thanks!

You should receive your AOR anytime. It took us around two weeks to hear from them. Try not to worry just yet.

Lots of people don't ever receive AOR. There is a good chance that you may not hear anything from CIC until you get sponsor approval. Did you use a courier or mail with tracking when you sent the app? That's the best way to know if CIC received it.

Check here http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/times/perm-fc.asp. It's updated every week. As of Dec 11th, they were processing apps received on Nov 12th. Tomorrow, it will probably change to Nov 19th.

Be patient.

After we sent out the application we received an answer saying more information is needed. Then we send the added letter to Mississauga. Now it's been 15 days we hear nothing. Is this normal? Thanks!
