Hi everyone,
I would like to know how long will CIC take to verify you document at the initial stage (application received as complete) and your money taken from the credit card.
regards.

Usual time for receiving AOR is a month or so. BUT,
NO POST-JUNE 2010 applicant has received their AOR yet ( I mean nobody of this forum at least) . We are all waiting to hear some news from CIC.
CIC usually charge the Credit Card a week after recieving your documents ( In my case it was charged exactly one week after). It can be between one to two weeks In my personal opinion.
Hope this helps.
Cheers.

If the credit card was charged, does this mean that the application is complete and will not be returned? Just a matter of waiting for AOR?

Mahek honestly I am not sure. But many applications are returned due to incompleteness and their credit card was not charged. From this we can draw a conclusion that if credit card is charged then the application may have passed initial stage at least. But We need to wait and see.

I received an email on 15th November, 2010, showing my Immigration file Number, but the date on the email is mention as 25th August, 2010. I only received this email on 15th November, 2010 after resending my application package on 23rd September, 2010, although my credit card was charged on 29th July, 2010. Before this email which was sent to me on 15th November, 2010 I didn’t receive any correspondence from Centralize Intake Office (CIO).
According to the mail dated 25th August, 2010, which was received on 15th November, 2010 I need to submit the required documents on or before 25th November, 2010, which seemed to be impossible at the moment as the time is too short.
I have requested CIO to increase 120 additional days, so that I can complete the documents and send it to their office.
i have courier them this letter on 22nd November, tried to send them the email but it returned back. will they grant me the additional 120 days after going through my case.

When did you actualy snet your first application to CIO, and why you sent the application again,

Can you please reply for the benefit of all of us here.
