Hi Experts,

here is my situation, My Mother-in-law Visiting visa was issued from July 6th 2013 to Jan 8th 2014. But she landed in Canada on 01st Sep 2014. Can she stay here till 01st March 2014.

I heard somewhere we can stay six months from landing date as per immigration stamp. Is it true?

Thanks,

Your mother can stay six months as long as the officer didn't write in a specific and shorter exit date in her passport when she arrived. Usually the IO just stamps the passport which allows the full six month stay.
