Hello Dear Friends,
My BG turned to IP2 on June 30 and still is in this step. A lot of people receive the PPR email just a few days after turning to IP2. I contacted CIC and they told me my application is in security check step. Does this step depends on nationality or other factors are involved.
Could you please tell me how long you've been waiting from IP2 to PPR?

Actually it varies, in many cases is like what you described - a few days. Having said that there are also people who like your case. Apparently it depends a lot on the officer handling your case.

Usually at IP2 security check should have been completed.

Good luck

ip2 security commences and unless the agent choose you for a comprehensive screening, your security check gets completed in a day or two at max. and then ppr. in case off security screening, there is no time limit for ppr. it can drag on for a year. there are many people on this forum who are nearing two years on ip2

you should contact them or order your notes. 6th month is the average for 80% of the applications, yes it can take longer than that, it's just less common (20% of applications)

Thanks, what are notes and how do i order them? I contacted the them via mail and i got an auotomated reply that they will respond within 28 working days.

your GCMS notes, you can order them from getgcms.com or other sites. but please read what they are before ordering them.

Am in Nairobi, Kenya so looks like i cannot order the notes. canada.ca says "To send a request you must be a Canadian citizen, a permanent resident of Canada or an individual or corporation currently in Canada."

you can use a service like getgcms or something. basically you give them the permission as they are in canada to order on your behalf. you would receive them about 40 days later
