Scylla didn't belittle you about something you've done -- she belittled you for whining that Canada was making the road to citizenship difficult for people like you, when 'people like you' means 'people who knew what the rules were, asked whether they could apply with fewer than 1095 days, received complicated and informed advice that it was not a good idea, went ahead and applied anyway, found out that the advice that they ignored was correct, and now complain that Canada is making life difficult for them, ask for advice about what they should do, are given clear advice with examples that it would be best to withdraw the application, go ahead and don't withdraw the application . . . ."Rakiura74 said:susanne, I would have wished there would be a clearer answer, and someone knew from own experience how long it takes to see a judge.
I am very much aware that ever situation is different, so that's why I was stumbled I guess to read that people said "no way, don't do this, do that". I guess I just wanted to hear what others experienced, and yes, I am grateful that people take the time to answer! I just didn't like the condescending tone I got from scylla, that's all. It's one thing to give your opinion, and very much appreciated and hope for, but it's another thing to belittle someone about something they have done.
Belittling people who do that is an important part of Canadian culture.
Out of curiosity, why do you ask for advice here when you don't follow it?
